Biography Collection Complete offers a comprehensive collection of full-text biographies supporting history, science, the arts, music, literature, multicultural studies, gender studies, business, government and politics, sports, entertainment and many other areas. This database features more than 177,000 full-text biographies from many different sources.

Current Biography

Current Biography contains biographies and obituaries from all of the volumes of Current Biography Yearbook from 1940 to the present. The biographies are searchable by name, profession, title, place of origin, gender, race/ethnicity, date of birth, date of death, and keyword.

Encyclopedia Britannica Online

Complete access to all 32 Encylopedia Britannica volumes. Includes encyclopedia articles, a world atlas, online dictionary and related articles from newspapers and magazines.

This database provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.

Available to all New Jersey library patrons and offers keyword and custom searching of 15 databases simultaneously. These databases cover subjects such as health, history, business, education, science, current events, literature, home improvement, and popular fiction.

Legal Information Reference Center (accessed through JerseyClicks)

Contains hundreds of full-text publications and thousands of legal forms. This database offers the everyday user the necessary tools and detailed "how-to" instructions to independently address a wide-range of legal issues.

Points of View Reference Center

Points of View Reference Center is a full-text database designed to provide students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue. The database provides 200 topics, each with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument) and counterpoint (opposing argument). Available from EBSCOhost.

Rocket Languages NEW

The site features interactive audio language and culture lessons for 11 foreign languages, as well as games and tests to track your progress. There are also language specific community areas so that you can connect with other students. Free registration is required.

Seachasaurus has a friendly, colorful, graphical search interface that makes it easy for students to search by keyword or by topic to find the most useful search results.

Student Research Center

Designed specifically for high school students, the Student Research Center lets students easily determine which content sources (e.g., Magazines, Newspapers, Biographies, Country Reports, Film and Video) will be included with their search. They can also search their databases by topic heading, make use of an online dictionary and encyclopedia, and explore the top searches of the day.

Topic Search

This current events database allows researchers to explore social, political and economic issues, scientific discoveries and other popular topics discussed in today's classrooms. TOPICsearch contains full text for over 139,800 articles from more than 4,800 diverse sources.
